Our thoughts and prayers are with those persons in New Jersey and New York who were hardest hit by hurricane Sandy. Our Church, through the United Methodist Committee on Relief is already on the ground as first responders.  You can donate to UMCOR US Disaster Response, Hurricanes 2012, Advance #3021787. Mail to United Methodist Committee on Relief; General Board of Global Ministries, The United Methodist Church; Room 1520, 475 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10115.  You can mail a check out to BWC Conference Treasurer, put UMCOR Disaster Response in the memo line and mail to the BWC Conference center.  You can also text the word RESPONSE to 80888 to give an immediate $10 donation.

Don’t forget to give also to the American Red Cross as well. You can give at various ATM’s across the area, send a donation to your local Red Cross, donate online or Text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate to Disaster Relief efforts. If you are able, donate blood at the various blood drives across the state.  Let’s show our Christian love in action!  Other volunteer opportunities will be posted as they are announced
